When shopping around for Car Insurance, we are always looking to save and reduce our Car Insurance premiums. However, we can save by cutting the level of cover we have on our Car Insurance policy, but do we know what benefits you get for each level of cover available? We at SimplyInsure.ie will demystify all of this here and now!

There are three levels of Car Insurance cover available: (1) Comphrensive, (2) Third Party, Fire and Theft and (3) Third Party Only. Comphrensive Car Insurance provides a policyholder with broad cover for situations like car write-offs, windscreen damage, and the use of a courtesy car in the event of an accident. Comphrensive Car Insurance policies are more expensive but they provide great cover and peace of mind.

Third Party, Fire and Theft will only protect you in situations where you are liable for a car accident or if the car is broken into or sustains fire damage. Whilst Third Party Only is the legal minimum Car Insurance cover required by law and only covers you in the event of liability for an accident. Both of these levels of cover do not provide for the benefits described above for  Comphrensive Car Insurance.

These two levels of cover are cheaper than Comprehensive Car Insurance; however, both of these levels of cover do not provide for the benefits described above for  Comphrensive Car Insurance.
